ABC Fire Extinguisher
ABC Fire Extinguisher are used to put out class A, B and C fires.
- Class A Fires are for ordinary combustible materials such as paper, wood, cardboard, and most plastics.
- Class B Fires involve flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, kerosene, grease and oil.
- Class C Fires involve electrical equipment, such as appliances, wiring, circuit breakers and outlets.
Class K Fire Extinguisher
Class K Fire Extinguishers are for fires that involve cooking oils, trans-fats, or fats in cooking appliances and are typically found in restaurant, cafeteria and food truck kitchens.
Water Fire Extinguisher
Water Fire Extinguishers only work on Class A fires involving flammable solids, but can be a good choice for some premises, such as warehouses and storage facilities or near chlorine and other chemicals that cannot be mixed with the ABC dry chemical extinguishant.
CO2 Fire Extinguisher
CO2 Fire Extinguishers are primarily used for electrical fires involving equipment such as computers, or generators. They are also used for fires involving some flammable liquids, such as petrol, diesel, and paint.
